Razmataz is the oldest small restaurant left in the city.
Its former name “gasometro” (gasometer) derives from its proximity to the main urban gas distribution facility which once stood only a short distance away. The poor meats of the nearby slaughterhouse were recycled here and at other small restaurants in the Orti district including, tripe, tail and meat used for boiling in stews.
After it had been left deserted for years, Patrizia, Massimo and Fiorenzo decided to rescue this little piece of the city’s history through an attractive and functional restoration. They took care to retain the original trapezium-shaped structure which extends out by means of an iron and glass veranda in fluvial/Parisian style. Razmataz was born in 2004, on 13 December to be precise.
